“Planning for this shot was difficult and it began several months in advance.
Despite cross-referencing the moon position in multiple applications, there’s nothing close to a guarantee you’ll be in the right place, just a few steps in any direction and you won’t get the shot.
I had never been so nervous for a photo as the moment approached, and never happier with the result of planning as the moon appeared where I was hoping and passed perfectly through the arch.”
Indeed, it's a masterpiece! The unique photograph of the moon set against the rock arch has captured the internet's attention, with people everywhere admiring it.

One follower commented:
“Eye love what you did here.”

“WOW!!! One of the best and most unique photos I’ve ever seen!!!”
Zach mentioned that even with thorough preparation, there was no certainty of being at the perfect location and time to witness the remarkable event.

Arches National Park, situated in eastern Utah near the Colorado River, is renowned for its over 2,000 natural sandstone arches across its 76,000-acre expanse.

The park's most iconic feature, Delicate Arch, stands as a 52-foot-tall freestanding formation and is one of Utah's most recognizable landmarks, depicted on state license plates and a commemorative stamp.

Additionally, the park's main road is home to the colossal Balanced Rock, which stands approximately 55 feet above the ground, weighing as much as an icebreaker ship, poised as if defying gravity.

Following an incident in 2006 where an individual climbed the Delicate Arch, the National Park Service has prohibited climbing on any arches within the park throughout the year. The use of anchors for slacklining is also prohibited.
