WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR BODY WHEN YOU DRINK A GALLON OF WATER EACH DAY
Regrettably, an alarming 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, as reported by CBS.
In the UK, it's reported that 1 in 5 people also suffer from dehydration. However, Sarah Smith, a UK mother of two, decided to tackle this issue head-on. She recognized she wasn't consuming enough water daily, which led to various health issues like poor digestion, headaches, and constant fatigue. After consultations with multiple doctors, the unanimous advice was to increase her water intake.
Thus, she embarked on an experiment to document her increased water consumption. For 30 days, she committed to drinking a gallon of water daily and recording the before-and-after effects to observe any physical and internal changes.
At the start of her experiment, she observed, "I am 42, but I must admit I look more like 52 in this picture, which is shocking. Dark shadows under and around my eyes make me appear exhausted, coupled with numerous wrinkles, odd reddish blotches, and my skin's complete lack of glow. It looks lifeless... even my lips seem withered."
To address these concerns, she consistently drank water throughout the day, using jugs in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
- By the end of the FIRST WEEK, she noticed improved digestion and clearer urine, indicating a flush of toxins from her body. Despite experiencing breakouts, this was a positive sign as the skin often expels toxins. Additionally, her headaches vanished, and the joint stiffness that troubled her each morning had dramatically lessened.
- In WEEK TWO, there was a significant enhancement in her skin tone and complexion. Although wrinkles remained around her eyes, Sarah observed they looked "less creepy and shadowy." Her stomach became flatter, and her cellulite vanished, with no recurrence of headaches.
- WEEK THREE saw the disappearance of Sarah's eye wrinkles and dark circles, giving her skin a healthier appearance. She also reduced her food intake, having previously confused hunger with thirst—a common mistake among many who do not consume enough water for their weight and age.
