Identified in 1942, these mushrooms, known as Elaeomyxa Cerifera, grow on substantial logs or stumps blanketed by leafy liverworts and moss. Their fruiting bodies burst open, liberating a profusion of dazzling, sparkling spores.
Among the many, scientist Sarah Lloyd developed a passion for mushrooms upon discovering them on her property. Since that moment, she has amassed a collection of approximately 1,700 matchboxes, each filled with different species of fungi.
